Young pets are adorable, and are so much fun. But, they require special care to maintain proper health to support their proper growth. At the first puppy visit, we will discuss many important decisions to be made about your pet, including; nutrition, socialization, parasite prevention, upcoming vaccination schedule, and even talk with you about when you should consider spaying or neutering your pet.

Our recommended vaccination and health routines for puppies and kittens are outlined below. Please feel free to click on the link below the chart that applies to your pet, from there, you will have the option to print the chart to better keep track of when and what your new family member needs to stay healthy.

Puppy Vaccination & Health Routine

  • Distemper-Parvo Combination Vaccine – 1st booster in 3 booster series.
  • Dewormer only as needed

12 Weeks
  • Physical examination
  • Distemper-Parvo Combination Vaccine – 2nd booster in 3 booster series.
  • Dewormer only as needed
  • Bordetella (Kennel Cough) Vaccine
  • Lyme Vaccine – 1st booster in 2 booster series.
  • FVRCP
16 Weeks
  • Physical examination
  • Distemper-Parvo Combination Vaccine – 3rd and final booster in 3 booster series.
  • Dewormer only as needed
  • Lyme Vaccine – 2nd and final booster in 2 booster series.
  • Rabies Vaccine
  • FVRCP
6-8 Months
  • Spay/Neuter Recommended
  • Microchipping recommended at the time of spay/neuter surgery
1 Year
  • Annual Physical Examination
  • Rabies Vaccine – Annual booster *will be eligible for 3 year booster if updated within the month of the due date.*
  • Distemper-Parvo Combination Vaccine – Annual booster.
  • Lyme Vaccine – Annual booster.
  • Kennel Cough Vaccine – Annual booster.
  • 4DX Test – Annual blood test that tests for heartworm, lyme, erlichiosis, and anaplasmosis.
  •  Bloodwork including fecal and 4DX

*Treatments for flea, tick, and heartworm prevention are critical when taking steps to keep your pet as healthy as possible. Just ask our staff about the many options we provide for the prevention of many different parasite infestations that can affect your dog. Our staff will be able to help you decide which preventative works best for you and your pet!*

Kitten Vaccination & Health Routine

  • Feline Leukemia Vaccine – 1st booster in 2 booster series.
